Bolikhamxay Province, located in the central of Laos, is the 10th largest province in Lao PDR with an area of 15,977 square kilometers, rich of culture and nature resource with 3 national protected areas: PhouKhaoKhouay, NamKaDing and a part of Theun-Nakai. Pakxan, the province capital, lies some 150km by South 13 Rd from Vientiane.

Climate
The tropical monsoon climate of Bolikhamxay has average temperatures ranging from 21 degrees C to 31 degrees C.  The mountainous areas, Khamkeut District, generally stay much cooler with average temperatures of 11 degrees C during winter.  Boikhamxay’s rainy season is from May to September, while the dry season is from October to April

History
- Bolikhamxay was established in 1967 during the Lao revolution period, separated from Vientiane and Khammuane Province.
- On 12th October 1968, Bolikhamxay was first announced as a province combined with 4 districts: Bolikhan, Khamkeut, Viengthong and a part of Hinboun.
- On 6th March 1984, the province was officially established, combined with 6 districts: Pakxan, Khamkeut, Thaphabath, Pakkading, Bolikhan, and Viengthong.
- In 2009 the province is administratively divided into 7 districts with the new Xaichamphon, separated from Khamkeut and Viengthong

Meaning of ‘Bolikhamxay’
‘Boli’ from Bolikhan District, the old city of the province.
‘Kham’ from Khamkeut District, the old city since 1350s.
‘Xay’ a Lao word, means “Victory” of the revolution.

South: Khammuane Province
East: Vietnam (NgeAnh, Hatinh)
West: Thailand (Bungkan, Nakhon Phanom)


We have owned a big land in Nongpong village, Khamkeuth District, Bolikhamxay province, only 20 km to the Vietnam border, 4 km from the central market and only 2 Km from the new market. We make a plantation, raising fish, poultry and pig. This area is very good for relaxation, doing business or resort, building conference room, and/ or raising fish, pig, and poultry to send out to Vietnam.
